1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:

Paul Oesterwitz
Rheinaustraße 10
68163 Mannheim, Germany
paul@oesterwitz-consulting.de

2. General information

Protecting your personal data is important to me. This website is built around data minimisation: it uses no tracking, no advertising, and no analytics. The only personal data processed is what is technically required to deliver the site and what you actively send me when you get in touch.

3. Server log files

Each time this website is accessed, the server automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits. This includes the requested page, the date and time of access, the referrer URL, browser type and version, the operating system, and the (shortened) IP address. This data is processed solely to ensure a functioning, stable and secure website. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log data is stored only for as long as necessary and is then deleted.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS). You can recognise an encrypted connection by the lock icon in your browser's address bar.

5. No cookies, no tracking

This website uses no tracking cookies, no analytics, no advertising, and no social media plugins, and it loads no third-party resources (such as external fonts or CDNs). It only uses technically necessary local storage to remember your display preference (light/dark mode) and your language choice (English/German). This information stays in your browser, is not transmitted to me or any third party, and does not require consent (§ 25 (2) TDDDG).

6. Contacting me

If you contact me by email or phone, the details you provide are processed solely to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). This data is deleted once it is no longer required and no statutory retention periods apply.

7. External links

This website contains links to external profiles (e.g. LinkedIn, GitHub, Freelancermap). When you click them, you leave this website and the privacy policies of those providers apply. Merely visiting this website transmits no data to them.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20)
  • Right to object (Art. 21)

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is:

State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart — www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de
